Ranking

Moneta Markets ranks number 9 on TraderGuide’s ranking list. The ranking list is based on the cost of trading with Moneta Markets, in the 16 most commonly traded instruments globally.

What you need to know about Moneta Markets

Moneta Markets is a relatively new entrant, founded in 2020, and part of the Vantage Group. The broker is regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) in South Africa and registered in Saint Lucia. Clients’ funds are held in segregated accounts at an AA-rated global bank, and negative balance protection ensures you won’t lose more than you’ve deposited.

Moneta has made a solid impression by offering a wide range of over 1,000 tradeable instruments across FX, indices, commodities, stocks, bonds, and cryptocurrencies.

They offer MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5—as most brokers do—but what stands out is their Home-Grown platform, Pro Trader. This platform is surprisingly polished and includes TradingView chart integration, technical indicators, AI market analysis, and economic calendars, which is more than we typically see from newer brokers.

What do we like about Moneta Markets?

Moneta Markets stands out with its straightforward, low-cost approach to forex trading, charging a fixed commission and offering competitive EUR/USD spreads .

Account opening is fully digital and completed in minutes, and deposits and withdrawals are free—a rare advantage among brokers. We particularly liked the Pro Trader platform. While most brokers rely solely on MetaTrader, Moneta has gone further and developed a browser-based platform that actually adds value. The layout is intuitive, it integrates seamlessly with TradingView, and it runs well on both desktop and mobile. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s clean, responsive, and far better than many in-house platforms we’ve tested.

For social traders, Moneta’s AppTrader supports copy trading via ZuluTrade or DupliTrade, while built-in forex signals, webinars, and a cashback bonus add further utility. Client support is available round the clock in multiple languages, and user reviews highlight the reliability of execution and responsiveness.

What concerns us about Moneta Markets?

While Moneta Markets is off to a strong start, there are still a few things to be aware of. Regulation is decent but not world-class. Traders looking for FCA or ASIC oversight won’t find it here, and there’s no investor compensation scheme in place, so you’ll be relying on fund segregation and negative balance protection as your safety net.

Their spreads are competitive, but as with most variable spread brokers, things can shift quickly during volatile periods. That’s not a dealbreaker, but it does mean you need to keep an eye on execution costs, especially on stock CFDs, which can be a bit pricey.

Also, while Pro Trader is a good effort, it still sits behind more mature platforms like cTrader or ThinkTrader in terms of depth. If you’re looking for a platform with deeply customisable tools or API access, you may find it slightly limited.

Should you trade with Moneta Markets?

Moneta Markets is a broker that sits comfortably in the “pleasant surprise” category. Despite being newer to the scene, they’re already doing a lot right. The combination of a user-friendly proprietary platform, competitive spreads, and solid product range gives them a compelling offering—especially for forex and index traders.

They’re not breaking new ground with regulation or features, but the experience is clean, efficient, and trader-focused. For those looking for a modern broker with low fees, copy trading options, and a better-than-average web platform, Moneta Markets is certainly worth considering.

It may not be the most regulated or the most advanced broker out there, but it is one of the more polished newcomers we’ve reviewed—and one to watch as it continues to grow.
