Our Ranking. #24
Updated: August 2025
BlackBull ranks number 24 on TraderGuide’s ranking list. The ranking list is based on the cost of trading with BlackBull, in the 16 most commonly traded instruments globally.
BlackBull Markets was established in 2014 and is a global broker regulated by New Zealand’s FMA and the Seychelles FSA, with additional UK and NZ entities ensuring client funds are segregated and negative balance protection is offered.
They provide institutional-grade trading conditions via MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and support native integration with TradingView. The broker also offers proprietary platforms such as BlackBull CopyTrader and BlackBull Invest, covering more than 26,000 instruments, including forex, indices, commodities, stocks, ETFs, and bonds.
In our hands-on testing, BlackBull impressed with exceptional execution speeds, often under 75 milliseconds on their Equinix-hosted servers—ideal for scalpers and high-frequency strategies. Their Raw Spread and Prime accounts offer competitive trading conditions, particularly for active forex and index traders. While exact pricing is variable and depends on market conditions, BlackBull consistently ranks in the middle tier of our spread comparisons. Spreads across major pairs and indices are generally sharp, though not the absolute lowest we've seen on TraderGuide.
Platform variety is a highlight: clients can choose between MT4, MT5, cTrader, or operate directly via TradingView. The BlackBull CopyTrader and Invest platforms also enable copy trading and managed account access, widening appeal for both self-directed and passive traders.
Support and education are strong: traders benefit from round-the-clock multilingual support via chat, email, phone, and WhatsApp. Educational materials include webinars, podcasts, platform tutorials, and in‑house market analysis powered by Myfxbook and BlackBull Research tools.
There are a few caveats to bear in mind. While forex and index spreads are competitive on ECN accounts, other asset classes—particularly stocks and commodities—can carry noticeably wider margins, especially outside peak trading hours. Community feedback has also pointed to occasional spread spikes or delayed order execution during high-volatility periods, such as major news releases. It's not something we encountered directly in our testing, but worth noting if you trade around market events.
Commission structures—although competitive—add to overall cost: Prime accounts charge approximately $6–7 per round turn, and while still low, this can accumulate for very high-volume strategies. The broker also does not offer guaranteed stop-loss orders, and some users have noted limitations when it comes to advanced order types or social trading features outside their own platforms.
BlackBull Markets features top-tier execution speed, fair forex and index spreads, and a wide choice of platforms—making it an excellent fit for active traders, scalpers, and anyone prioritising cost transparency and speed. Their global presence, robust trading infrastructure, and multiple regulation layers offer a reassuring level of oversight.
However, if you predominantly trade equities, require guaranteed stop-loss functionality, or rely on third-party social trading ecosystems, BlackBull might feel functionally limited. Minor reports of spread irregularities and the added commission costs—in non-ECN accounts—are worth considering, particularly for high-frequency traders.
Overall, BlackBull Markets earns a solid rating in our TraderGuide rankings. It’s a reliable, fast, and competitive ECN-style broker that suits traders focused on speed, low cost, and platform flexibility—just be sure it aligns with your exact strategy and toolset.
