Ranking

Vantage ranks number 22 on TraderGuide’s ranking list. The ranking list is based on the cost of trading with Vantage, in the 16 most commonly traded instruments globally.

What you need to know about Vantage

Vantage (formerly Vantage Markets) was founded in 2009 and operates globally with strong regulation from ASIC (Australia), FCA (UK), CIMA (Cayman Islands), and VFSC (Vanuatu).

The broker provides access to over 1,000 instruments—covering forex, indices, commodities, shares, ETFs, and bonds—via MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, TradingView, its proprietary ProTrader platform, and the Vantage mobile app.

What do we like about Vantage?

During our hands-on testing, Vantage impressed with its multiple platform support. Whether you stick with MT4 or MT5, prefer TradingView, or opt for their web-based ProTrader, the experience is seamless and modern. ProTrader combines advanced charting, indicators, and TradingView-powered tools with crisp interface performance on both desktop and mobile.

We also noted competitive pricing, traders using the Raw ECN and Pro ECN accounts benefit from consistently competitive rates, with commissions clearly disclosed.

Their fee structure is transparent: no deposit or withdrawal charges, no hidden inactivity fees, and negative balance protection across accounts.

Educational resources earned top marks too. Vantage Academy delivers courses, webinars, and market analysis that feed directly into ProTrader. Meanwhile, customer support runs 24/5, via live chat, phone, and email—feedback on responsiveness is generally positive.

What concerns us about Vantage?

Vantage does a lot right, but there are still a few things to keep in mind before diving in. Despite marketing itself as a low-cost broker, we found that spreads on major forex pairs like EUR/USD aren't as competitive as those offered by several other brokers on TraderGuide. Trading costs on stock CFDs and niche instruments can also run higher than expected. If you’re cost-sensitive or trading a wide range of assets, it’s worth checking the detailed pricing before committing.

We also came across reports of minor price inconsistencies on lower-liquidity pairs such as EUR/CHF. During testing, platform performance was generally smooth, but a few users have pointed out occasional stability issues on the Vantage app. While these didn’t affect our own sessions, it’s something to be aware of—especially if you rely heavily on mobile.

Finally, although we rate their customer service highly, response times via email can lag a bit during peak hours. Live chat remains the faster route if you're in a hurry.

Should you trade with Vantage?

If you value diverse platform choices, transparent pricing, and strong regulation, Vantage is well worth considering. Our testing revealed it offers a polished trading experience backed by modern infrastructure, zero hidden fees, and robust educational support.

Forex and index traders will appreciate Vantage’s fast execution, platform flexibility, and range of trading tools. While spreads on some instruments are middle-of-the-road, the overall trading experience is smooth, reliable, and backed by strong infrastructure. And while ProTrader adds a modern touch, MetaTrader still leads the way for most active traders.

In summary, Vantage offers a well-balanced trading setup—tech-forward, user-friendly, and well-regulated. It’s a solid choice for traders who value execution quality, platform options, and responsive support across markets.
