Ranking

VT markets ranks number 10 on TraderGuide’s ranking list. The ranking list is based on the cost of trading with VT markets, in the 16 most commonly traded instruments globally.

What you need to know about VT markets

VT Markets launched in 2015 in Australia and is regulated by ASIC in Australia, the FSCA in South Africa, and the FSC in Mauritius. Additional registration as a payment facilitator in Cyprus and a Dubai promotional licence rounds out their global footprint.

Traders can access over 1,000 instruments, including forex, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies, and US and UK stock CFDs. The broker supports popular platforms like MT4, MT5, a dedicated mobile app, and integrates seamlessly with Trading Central and expert advisor tools.

What do we like about VT markets?

VT Markets makes a strong first impression with its transparent and competitive pricing, especially for indices. In our tests, major indices like FTSE and SP500 came with low trading costs, and there are no deposit, withdrawal, or inactivity fees—a genuine plus for active and casual traders alike.

The broker's account opening process is easy and fully digital, and we had our test account approved within 24 hours—a smooth experience. We also appreciate the suite of educational tools available: from a trading glossary and detailed forex courses to podcasts, daily market analysis, and built-in tools like an economic calendar and Trading Central.

Customer service impressed us too. We tested live chat during market hours and received helpful, prompt responses. Their 24/7 multilingual support, combined with positive feedback on Trustpilot, stood out.

What concerns us about VT markets?

While VT Markets gets a lot right, there are a few things to keep in mind. Stock CFDs tend to be on the pricier side, with higher commissions and spreads than we’ve seen from competitors—so equity traders may want to double-check costs before diving in. Withdrawals are free, but processing can be slower than average, occasionally taking several business days.

The broker also offers Copy Trading, which can be a great hands-off option—but not all signal providers are created equal. We’ve seen user feedback mentioning poor results from following certain traders with questionable track records. If you do use the feature, take time to research who you’re copying.

And lastly, although offshore regulation offers flexibility, the absence of tier-one oversight such as FCA or CySEC may concern some European or UK-based traders. That said, VT Markets compensates with negative balance protection, segregated client funds, liability insurance up to $1 million, and membership in the Financial Commission which delivers up to €20,000 in dispute compensation.

Should you trade with VT markets?

VT Markets ranks well on TraderGuide’s ranking list. They deliver a compelling option for forex and CFD traders seeking a blend of competitive pricing, reliable platforms, and attentive support. Their low-fee structure, lack of hidden charges, and extensive educational resources make them a strong contender—particularly for those valuing cost transparency and ease of use.

If you trade primarily forex, indices or commodities, VT Markets is worth a spot on your shortlist. Just be aware that stock CFDs may carry higher costs, and traders with EU or UK accounts might prefer brokers with top-tier regulation. For many active and occasional traders, though, VT Markets ticks most of the boxes with a clean, effective, and trader-friendly package.
