Our Ranking. #33
Updated: July 2025
TIO Markets ranks number 33 on TraderGuide’s ranking list. The ranking list is based on the cost of trading with TIO Markets, in the 16 most commonly traded instruments globally.
TIO Markets launched in 2018 and is regulated by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under its UK arm, and also holds a registration with the FSA in St Vincent & the Grenadines for international clients.
Traders can access over 300 instruments—including forex, indices, commodities, metals, and equities—via MetaTrader 4 and 5, with high-leverage options (up to 1:500, or unlimited depending on jurisdiction) and account types suited to both newcomers and active traders.
During our testing, the rolling execution speeds and general platform responsiveness impressed us. Their account selection is flexible: the Standard account requires just a $20 deposit, with zero commission but variable spreads; the Raw account introduces raw spreads with a modest commission; and the VIP Black account offers raw-style pricing with no commission for a higher entry tier.
We never experienced requotes or downtime during normal conditions, and support via live chat and email was timely and helpful.
Their educational side is also solid. Articles, webinars, market commentary, economic calendars, and signals (including from Trading Central) are all accessible directly through the platform. These features are well suited to both beginner and intermediate traders seeking structured learning.
While TIO Markets offers competitive spreads on forex majors, their index pricing lags behind many top brokers on TraderGuide. We observed spreads at standard levels, and other brokers routinely outperformed them on key instruments. If index trading—particularly UK or US indices—is central to your strategy, it’s worth comparing live numbers carefully.
Withdrawals can also take longer than expected, depending on method and region. One Trustpilot reviewer mentioned a five-day clearance process for a payout, which aligns with other anecdotal feedback. While TIO processes requests quickly, delays seem tied to banking systems rather than platform performance.
Finally, the offering is strictly MetaTrader-based; there’s no additional proprietary platform or copy/social trading infrastructure. That may be fine for many traders, but others accustomed to modern in-house platforms may find it limiting.
TIO Markets is a competent and accessible broker, especially if you're seeking FCA-regulated execution, flexible account tiers, and MetaTrader familiarity. With competitive forex pricing and solid support infrastructure, it works well for both beginners and seasoned MT4/MT5 users.
That said, it doesn’t lead the pack on index spreads, and institutional-grade features (like proprietary platforms or advanced analytics) are absent. Execution reliability and education tools are good, but if you trade indices intensively or rely on cutting-edge features, you’ll want to compare alternative brokers carefully.
In short, TIO Markets delivers a transparent, stable MT4/5 experience—but it may not satisfy traders who chase the lowest index spreads or advanced in-platform features.
